Finaly There!

So i have just spent my first full day in Zambia (and am paying by the minute so this will be short) - The plane ride was long and torturous...it felt longer than the trip to NZ, I think coming to around 17 hours. But hey - the giraffes, zebras, water buffalo, and monkeys within walking distance of our 'chalets' make it all worth it (well maybe not the array of shots we will continue getting through training). The people I am training with are great and keep me entertained with jokes, dances, hacking, and our fair share of beer consumption (of course just to commemorate our last days in the states - its all serious now) - I now know that I will be learning the language - bembe - and will be living somewhere in the luapula province!!!! supposedely there are mad crazy waterfalls up there (the second largest in Zambia), lakes, and copper mining. We leave for Mwekere tomorrow for training so it may be a couple months before I get back to post...so I will try to write and will love some letters in return! For the earth...brette
